My Story
MOUNTWE$T TIPTOP SOUND is a part of Blakk$hadez MuZiK and started in 2012 which includes a touch of R&B, Reggae, Jazz, Lofi, Hip-Hop, Live Music and a Denver-Native sound. We can accommodate any music style. I also have ties with other local music producers in the KC/Metro area.
I'm A Bass Guitarist
I grew up in Denver, Colorado's historical Park Hill neighborhood. At a young age I fell in love with the bass guitar; it's been over 40 years and still I love playing this instrument. Music has always been a part of our family's history, my mother played the piano and my older brother acquired our mother's gift, he learned to read music and played by ear. My passion for the bass guitar started - like most - in the church; the pastor's son was a bass player, one of the best I've ever heard! I'd watch his hands plucking those strings, the sound from it mesmerized me! I pay homage to the Late Ralph Beechum of the House of Joy Miracle Deliverance church; for me, he was the greatest local bass player in Denver, Colorado!
Professional level of bass players I like are Verdine White of Earth, Wind and Fire, Marcus Miller and Stanley Clark. Louis Johnson, Larry Graham the pioneer of slapping the Bass guitar.
